Can You Tell Which Gun is Fake?

Vacaville Police confiscated one of these guns from a young man at the park Sunday after someone noticed it in his waistband and called 911.

VACAVILLE, CA- Police reminded residents that it is often hard to differentiate a BB gun versus a real pistol after a resident reported a young man carrying a gun in a Vacaville park Sunday afternoon.

“Which one is the real thing?” Vacaville Police Department officials posted on their Facebook page, the answer is the bottom gun.

The top gun is reportedly a Beretta BB gun that was spotted tucked in the waistband of a Stonegate Park-goer.

Officials said in social media conversations that there was nothing illegal about the incident and no citations or arrests were made, however, the gun was taken from the person who possessed it.

“Fortunately nobody was injured in the incident and this look-a-like is off the street,” said officials, “We greatly appreciate the communication from a heads up citizen helping keep Vacaville safe.”
