Dixon Youth Basketball Registration Now Open

This year the City of Dixon is offering Youth Basketball for boys and girls Kindergarten through 8th grade. Dixon Youth Basketball will provide Dixon’s youth with a warm, nurturing and supportive environment in which they can improve skills, participate in a team atmosphere and share a common commitment with one another. The goal is for children to have fun!

Early Bird Registration starts Monday, October 13th and will be open until Friday, November 7th, cost is $80.00 per participant. Continuing registration will be available November 10-21 at a cost of $90.00 per participant. The youth basketball games will be held on Saturdays for all age group divisions. Registration fee includes eight league games, team jersey and certificate of participation.You can signup for the Dixon Youth Basketball League online here (there is a convenience fee to register online) or you can register any day Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at City Hall, 600 East A Street.

The City of Dixon offers a Recreation Scholarship which may be available for those who qualify. To apply for a scholarship you can pick up an application at City Hall, 600 East A Street, Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. A limited number of scholarships are available. Please Note: processing your scholarship can take up to three weeks.

Volunteer coaches are needed for every basketball division. Coach forms will be available beginning Monday, October 13th or online here. To volunteer as a coach please fill out and turn in a coach’s registration form at City Hall, 600 East A Street, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Game Officials are needed for the youth basketball program. If interested in becoming an official go to the City of Dixon website and on the Home Page click on apply for a job. The city is looking for responsible and enthusiastic individuals.
