How a Lost Camera Went From Dixon, CA to Dixon, IL (and Back Again) Thanks to One Woman's Kindness
Our camera has gone from Dixon, California to Seattle, Washington where someone from Houston, Texas found it and shipped it to Dixon, Illinois.

Dixon resident Jeremy Craig shared a great story with us this week via email. It involves two cities named Dixon, a digital camera and a random act of impressive kindness.
Rather than get in Jeremy's way, I'll let him tell this unique story:
My sister and family were out to visit in June from Dixon, Illinois (yes my sister lives in another Dixon!), and we had a wonderful week showing them all of Northern California. From Tahoe to San Fran, Point Reyes to Old Sacramento, we did it all and took lots of photos on our trusty digital camera. Unfortunately, shortly after my sister left, we were unable to find our digital camera. Our conclusion is we must have left it on the last day trip to Old Sacramento and we were saddened, not so much about the camera, but about the many photos of my daughter and her cousins having a great week.
Last week, my sister received a call from her son's school, Newman Catholic in Illinois. (Her son is my nephew).
Someone had shipped a phone to the school with a short letter that explained that she had recently rented a car in Seattle and found a camera between the seats. When the car agency wouldn't assist her, she took it upon herself to look at the photos to see if she could return the camera to its owner. Having seen my nephew in his Newman Catholic sweatshirt from a photo at Alcatraz, she Googled and found the school and requested that the school find the family in the photo. After looking at the photos and identifying my sister's family, Newman Catholic contacted her and now the camera is heading back to us in Dixon, California!
This incredibly nice lady from Houston, Texas -- Nadia Tajalli -- is an everyday hero who went above and beyond to help total strangers!

So our camera has gone from Dixon, California to Seattle, Washington where someone from Houston, Texas found it and shipped it to Dixon, Illinois. And now it's coming back full circle to Dixon, California again.
My wife and I would like to send Ms. Tajalli a nice gift basket as a heartfelt thanks for her kindness and wanted to know if Patch readers could offer some suggestions of what items we should put in the basket that would best represent the city of Dixon and Northern California. So, any ideas?
Thanks for your help!
