J-Mack Ferry Back In Service, Caltrans Says
The ferry which crosses the Steamboat Slough had been closed since April 9.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — The J-Mack Ferry, which crosses the Steamboat Slough between Solano and Sacramento counties, has been reopened to service after a 9-day closure due to high water levels and strong currents, Caltrans said on Wednesday.
The ferry, which connects Ryer Island in Solano County with Sacramento County on state Highway 220, was originally closed on April 9. It re-opened at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The ferry operates around the clock, and operates on a cable across the slough.
