Man Driving Joker Car Arrested In Solano County Traffic Stop
It was no laughing matter, police said, when officers "quickly noticed drugs inside the car."
VACAVILLE, CA — Multiple vehicle-code violations were initially why police stopped a man driving a car painted to look like the Joker's from Batman and Robin fame.
However it was no laughing matter, Vacaville police said, when officers "quickly noticed drugs inside the car" and detained Luis Ramirez, 29, of Suisun — not Gotham — City.
Vacaville PD alleged that when officers did a search of the green-and-purple Chrysler 300 Tuesday night near Orange Drive, they also found a loaded gun inside a backpack on the front seat alongside drug paraphernalia.

Ramirez was arrested on suspicion of drug and weapons charges, including for being a felon in possession of a firearm, police said.
"With the realization that a giddy Joker was still on the lam, a disappointed Batman and Robin departed the traffic stop in search for their villain," Vacaville police said in a Facebook post. "We assured the dynamic duo that our citizens would be on the lookout."

Meanwhile, Ramirez was booked into Solano County Jail in lieu of $26,000 bail. As of Friday he was no longer in custody, jail records showed.
