Mazda Driver Dies In Crash Off I-80 In Dixon: CHP
The Sacramento man was not wearing a seat belt when his car went off Interstate Highway 80, the California Highway Patrol said.
DIXON, CA — A Sacramento man died early Thursday morning when his car went off Interstate Highway 80 near Dixon, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash involving a blue Mazda 6 sedan was reported at 5:50 a.m. on westbound I-80 at Oday Road, CHP Officer David Harvey said.
The Mazda left the roadway for unknown reasons and collided with part of the freeway bridge, Harvey said.

The 27-year-old driver was not wearing a seat belt and suffered fatal injuries.
No other cars were involved and the driver was alone in the car.

His identity was not yet released late Thursday morning and the cause of the crash was still under investigation.
