Solano County Coroner Identifies Crash Victim
The victim's Hyundai Accent was sandwiched between two other vehicles in the crash.

The Solano County coroner’s office has identified a man who died in a crash Friday on Interstate Highway 680 near Fairfield as Joshua David Loya, 30, of Lincoln.
Loya was driving a Hyundai Accent north on Highway 680 directly behind a Honda Accord at 2:12 p.m. when traffic slowed down, California Highway Patrol Officer David Harvey said.
When the female driver of the Honda applied her brakes, Loya’s Hyundai struck the right rear of the Honda. An ambulance that was traveling in the slow lane behind the two vehicles then struck the rear of the Hyundai, Harvey said.

The Honda and ambulance drivers, who also were wearing seatbelts, were not injured, and drugs or alcohol are not considered factors in the collision, Harvey said.
