Suisun Valley Celebrates AVA 36th Anniversary

Enjoy at six venue tasting pass on December 26th, 12-5PM.

The holidays are a magical time to visit Suisun Valley, low fog graces the naked vines early morning, skies open up to cloudy blue most mid-afternoons, and sunsets that will take your breath away. December is a time of excitement at every venue as the Suisun Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA) celebrates its anniversary.

The Suisun Valley AVA Celebration is hosted the day after Christmas annually, this year celebrating it’s 36th year. An AVA is an important certification given by the Tax and Trade Bureau, and is a special designation that helps our local grape growers and winemakers attribute a certain characteristic of a wine made from grapes grown in this region, also know as a “terroir” or “appellation.” Suisun Valley AVA is nestled between two coastal mountain ranges, southeast of Napa Valley, and offers world-class wines, home grown farm products, and a beautiful, agricultural landscape.

Grab your visiting friends and family, or get away from the Christmas clean up to enjoy a barrel or vertical wine tasting while mingling Suisun Valley winemakers on Wednesday, December 26 from 12-5PM. Pick up your commemorative wine glass at any participating tasting room, and travel from venue to venue enjoying this one day tasting pass. Advanced tickets are available online at suisunvalley.com for only $20, or purchase at participating tasting rooms the day of for $25.
