Suspect Sought In Fatal Solano County Hit-And-Run: CHP
Evidence at the scene indicated the victim had pulled over to the side of Hartley Road to fix mechanical issues with his car, the CHP said.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — The California Highway Patrol is seeking the public's help in identifying the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision that happened Friday morning on Hartley Road in an unincorporated area of Solano County north of Vacaville.
Evidence indicated the victim, a 32-year-old man, pulled over to the side of Hartley Road at Robinson Road sometime prior to 6:55 a.m. to fix mechanical issues with his Volkswagen sedan, CHP Officer David Harvey said.
"After exiting his vehicle, an unknown vehicle traveling northbound on Hartley Road, collided with the victim, causing fatal injuries," Harvey said. "The suspect vehicle fled the crash scene in an unknown direction."

The victim's name was not released Friday pending notification of his next of kin by the Solano County Coroner's Office.
The Solano Area CHP Office asked anyone with information about the identity of the involved party or anything else pertaining to the fatal incident to call CHP Officer Ensley at 707-428-2100.
