Salary: $11.26 - $13.68 Hourly
The City of Dixon is seeking two reliable on-call drivers and dispatchers  to provide shuttle van transportation for local citizens by the beginning of August 2013 and to establish an eligibility list for possible future use.  

Transit Driver I will drive a passenger van or paratransit vehicle on a demand responsive curb-to-curb and on a deviated fixed route transit system; will assist patrons on and off the vehicle, especially the elderly, disabled, and school age children. Will work closely with other Drivers and Transit Coordinator to ensure coordinated efforts.  Must have the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to changing situations; ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours required; must have good verbal, listening and written communication skills.

Working hours will vary.  Position is on-call to fill in when permanent staff are not available or during a spike in workload.
 
Orientation Night
Dixon will host an Orientation Night on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers for interested candidates who would like an opportunity to learn about the position and requirements in order to be considered a Transit Driver I with the City of Dixon.
