Alhambra Police Search For Missing Nun, Public's Help Sought

ALHAMBRA, CA — Police asked for public assistance Sunday to find an 80-year-old nun who went missing Sunday in Alhambra.

Sister Joseph Louise, whose real name is Maria Padilla, was last seen about 6:30 a.m. in the 900 block of East Alhambra Road.

Padilla is Hispanic. She stands 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 125 pounds, Alhambra police said.

She was last seen wearing a brown gown, white headband, black veil and black shoes.

Anyone who knows her whereabouts was asked to call Alhambra police at 626-570-5151 or 911.
