Check Your Mailbox, Eagle Rock! Your Ballot's in the Mail

The end is near. That is, the end of this election season is finally upon us. County election officials are sending out the mail-in ballots.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Los Angeles County election officials said today they have begun mailing more than 1.8 million vote-by-mail ballots for the November election.

Officials with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office noted that people can still request a vote-by-mail ballot online, or by filling out the form on the back of the sample ballot. Voters who have previously requested a vote-by-mail ballot can check on its status at www.lavote.net.

Vote-by-mail ballots can be dropped off ahead of the Nov. 8 election at any of 76 drop-off locations in the county. Voters who receive a mail ballot can still cast their ballot instead at a polling place on election day, but they must bring their vote-by-mail ballot with them and surrender it to poll workers, officials said.
