Women's Toiletry Drive
Councilmember Jose Huizar's offices are collecting women's toiletries to benefit the Downtown Women's Center.
The Los Angeles Downtown Women's Center supplies 20,000 showers a year to homeless women who drop in to the day center. They need basic toiletries--shampoo, conditioner, soap, bath gel, sanitary pads, toothbrushes and paste, deodorant, lotion. Please consider dropping your donations (must be new, unopened) at any of the four district offices during the month of March--Women's Month! For offices, see the flier with this story.
