Niche, which rates everything in education, has created a list of what it considers the schools with the best teachers in the East Palo Alto area.

According to Niche.com, the rankings are based on seven factors: academic grades, parent/student surveys on teachers, teacher absenteeism, teacher salary index, teachers in their first or second year, average teacher salary and the student-teacher ratio.

Carlmont High School has the best teachers in the East Palo Alto area, according to the rankings. With 2,152 total students in the school, and a student-teacher ratio of 22:1, Carlmont High School had an A rating in teachers and A+ overall Niche grade.

Menlo-Atherton High School followed in second place with a total of 2,401 students and a 19:1 student-teacher ratio. It was given an A rating in teachers and an A+ overall Niche grade.
