East Palo Alto Woman Accused Of Attempted Murder In Car Attack

EAST PALO ALTO, CA — A woman was arrested in San Bruno on charges including attempted murder after police say she used her car to try to run over someone with whom she was having a "verbal and physical altercation."

Adilene Ramirezreyes, 31, of East Palo Alto, was arrested after police responded to the 500 block of Mastick Avenue Wednesday afternoon to a report of a car that had collided into a tree.

After getting in an argument with an unnamed victim, police say Ramirezreyes tried to run the person over with her car, but the victim ran away and hid behind a tree, leading Ramirezreyes to hit the tree with her car.

Ramirezreyes was also found to be driving under the influence of alcohol, San Bruno police said Thursday.

Ramirezreyes was treated at a local hospital for injuries related to the collision, then booked into the San Mateo County Jail on charges of attempted murder, asault with a deadly weapon and D.U.I.
