Fireworks Near East Palo Alto July 4th 2020 Canceled: More Events

While traditional Fourth of July fireworks are canceled, cities are getting creative with live & virtual ways to celebrate on the Peninsula.

EAST PALO ALTO, CA — Independence Day events across the country will not look the same this year, thanks to the coronavirus. Most area cities and organizations decided to cancel their Fourth of July events, including in San Mateo County.

But throughout the Peninsula and the SF Bay area, a few communities are hosting virtual fireworks and parades, decorating contests and patriotic, fun activities to do from home.
