No Green Light For Go-karts On Public Roadways Per Police
One man saw a red light in the long arm of the law when he decided to drive on a public street with a go-kart.
EAST PALO ALTO, CA -- It may be pretty in purple, cool and fun -- but go-karts such as this custom-built mode of transportation are not permitted on public roadways.
That's the message the East Palo Alto Police Department relayed last Thursday at 12:40 p.m. to an adult man driving one on Bay Road in the city. The road is tucked between the Palo Alto Airport and the entrance to the Dumbarton Bridge along the San Francisco Bay shoreline.
"I don't know why he was doing this," Sgt. Roger Tuason said.
