5 Things to Know: MILK Silver Lake, Plastic Bag Ban, Outdoor Hockey

Here are five things to start off you Wednesday in Echo Park and Silver Lake:

1. The popular milkshake, ice cream and baked goods shop MILK will soon expand to Silver Lake. Check out where the shop will be located in our article. 
2. Los Angeles city officials this week announced an effort to educate Angelenos on the plastic bag ban going into effect at large grocery and drug stores on Jan. 1, and at smaller, mom-and-pop stores six months later. Read all about it here.
