Authorities sought public help to find a hit- and-run motorist responsible for severely injuring a pedestrian in the Silver Lake area.
The 18-year-old man was injured about 8:35 p.m. Wednesday while crossing Fletcher Drive north of Larga Avenue outside of a crosswalk, Los Angeles police officials said.
The vehicle was described only as a light-colored BMW.
