David Marciano's Favorite Place? The Los Feliz Municipal Golf Course

Jeryl Brunner's new book, "My City, My Los Angles: Famous People Share Their Favorite Places," has a number of entries Echo Park, Silver Lake and Los Feliz residents can feel good about.

The title's pretty self-explanatory. The book follows a similar one Brunner did about New York.

David Marciano of "Homeland" picks the Los Feliz 3-Par Golf Course on Los Feliz Boulevard.

Here's an excerpt from the book (used with permission) where he explains why:

There's a little par 3 golf course at the bottom of Los Feliz Boulevard just before you get to Atwater. I love to walk through there and play a little nine holes of golf. Anybody can go. What I like most about it is that it's dense with trees. You feel like you're in a forest or cathedral.

Marciano goes on to reflect on his early days in L.A., and his first big break in Los Angeles, a guest star lead on "Wiseguy."

Nice to know that he's still hanging out at the little golf course now and then.
