Echo Park's Allumette Mixes a Mean Negroni

Who doesn't need a drink now and again, especially as Oscar weekend fast approaches?

Newly-opened Allumette is obliging, with a well-crafted mix of designer cocktails from Serena Herrick, formerly of Harvard and Stone and Pour Vous, says LA Magazine.

We visited  Allumette--the former site of the Allston Yacht Club--recently and had, somewhat fittingly, the Smoking Gun, an awesome mix of mezcal and the liqueurs calisaya and cynar, the latter an artichoke-based aperitif.

LA Magazine represents for, instead, the Negroni Sbagliato #2, and, in an item Wednesday, shares the recipe, which includes sage, put e mes, aperol and gram beck brut sparkling wine.
