Elysian Park Brush Fire Contained
Firefighters quickly stopped an uphill moving brush fire in Elysian Park Tuesday night.

ELYSIAN PARK, CA — A small fire broke out in Elysian Park Tuesday night, but firefighters quickly got the better of it.
The fire broke out just after 8:30 p.m. in the 550 block of North Park Row Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Within 21 minutes, crews had gotten hand lines around the brush fire near and doused all active flames, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department. About half an acre of light brush burned uphill, and no injuries were reported, said Stewart.
Firefighters would continue to conduct overhaul operations to ensure there are no remaining hot spots, she added.
