Tuesday "Tomato Pie" Stair Walk

Join this vigorous one-hour excursion through some of Silver Lake's steepest stairways.

We begin just off Hyperion Avenue at the back entrance to Tomato Pie restaurant at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday evening.

We return just over an hour later after walking 3 miles, climbing 14 staircases--735 steps up and 610 down.

So you can see why physical fitness is pre-requisite.

Tomato Pie is located at 2457 Hyperion Avenue in Silver Lake, across from Barbrix.

Dave Ptach leads this walk, which has become a Silver Lake institution.

Ptach also is part of the Los Angeles Stairstreet Advocates, which leads periodic clean ups on these staircases.

NOTE: There will be no hike Christmas Day!
