Firefighters Take Down Brush Fire Near Stadium Way

No buildings were threatened, according to authorities.

Los Angeles City Firefighters knocked down a half-acre brush fire on the east side of Elysian Park near Stadium Way, according to Matt Spence of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The fire was slow-moving and in dense vegetation, according to LAFD alerts, and Spence said the knockdown call just came in a few minutes ago (Patch called at 1:57 p.m.)

No structures were threatened in the fire. It took 81 firefighters to knock the fire down in 42 minutes, according to the department.
