You can bring your expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs to 4760 W. Sunset Boulevard between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The service is free and no questions will be asked.

The Sunset Kaiser is one of four facilites participatinig in this so-called Take Back day.The Los Angeles Police Department and Kaiser Permanente, in cooperation with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, are teaming up to run the program.
A total of 244 tons of prescription drugs were turned in nationwide during collections at over 5,200 sites last September, according to the LAPD. Flushing medications down the toilet or disposing of them in the trash both pose potential safety and health hazards, according to the LAPD, which plans to hold Take Back events along with the DEA every few months.
