Grand Ole Echo Is Back for Another Summer
The free Americana and country music weekly kicks off Sunday, April 14 with a show in the Echoplex.
The Grand Ole Echo kicks off its eighth season with a special show in the Echoplex Sunday.
The Americans, Phoebe Bridges and La Route will play from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
As with all the Grand Ole Echo afternoons, the event is free and open to all ages with barbecue served along with the music.

Grand Ole Echo moves upstairs to the Echo and the Echo porch for the rest of the summer, with acts including Echo Park's Olin and the Moon, Highland Park's I See Hawks in L.A., Eilen Jewell and Calico.
Founder and MC Kim Grant has had a very busy year. In January, she launched a daily music show on Echo Park's Intraffik Radio, "Town and Country Underground," that features recordings by Americana and alt-county artists.

She and bookers Matt Farber and Ben Reddell recently staged a Grand Ole Austin showcase at the South by Southwest Music Conference that many are still buzzing about on social media.

The Echo is at 1822 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, while the Echoplex’s address is 1154 Glendale Blvd.
