Handyman's Tools Stolen Tuesday in Los Feliz
The theft occurs on Russell Avenue near Talmadge Street, and is caught on camera.

A local handyman had a hard day Tuesday when his tools were stolen from his van.
A surveillance camera captured the thief at work, on Russell Avenue near Talmadge Street in Los Feliz's Franklin Hills.

According to the owner of the van,
[T[housands of dollars' worth of tools and equipment were stolen. Amazingly, our neighbor took this picture of the suspicious activity and got the license number. The police are dusting for fingerprints as I write this email. I think it would be great if we got this email out and everyone could keep an eye out for the suspect van.

The van's license plate number is reportedly 3KFE260.
The Franklin Hills Residents Association, which issued the alert, says other tradesmen--including gardeners and plumbers--have also been hit like this over the lat few years.
The Association is warning everyone to lock up, though thieves today can still break into locked trucks.
Anyone with information about the theft Tuesday is urged to call the Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast division at (323) 344-5701.
