Lotus Festival Returns to Echo Park

Councilman Mitch O'Farrell will host a community event to celebrate the return of the annual Lotus Festival—a celebration of the people and cultures of Asia and the Pacific Islands following a two-year hiatus due to the Proposition O stormwater improvement project—at 6 p.m., today in Echo Park.

This year, the culture and traditions of the Filipino community will be spotlighted.

The Lotus Festival will be held on the main lawn at Echo Park Lake, 751 Echo Park Ave.

The festival will be held from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
