The gallery hosts an evening to remember Yauch, who died of salivary gland cancer one year ago Saturday, and lived and worked in Los Feliz and Atwater for a time with his bandmates.

Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys, who died on May 4, 2012 of salivary gland cancer, will be remembered around the country Saturday.
Locally, the Nomad Collective Art Gallery in the Elysian Valley will host an evening devoted to Yauch, also known as MCA, Saturday.
According to organizers, it will feature videos, two Beastie Boy cover bands and a candlelight vigil at midnight.
