More Smoke/Mirrors-This Time The Smoke Is Real & Very Irritating
May our actions finally demonstrate we're all in this together because at these critical crossroads the words of such hope aren't even here.

These are sad and painful times indeed and all too familiar scenes with no attempt by this Administration to set aside grievances during this critical flash point in our flawed nation's history. Instead, we get POTUS packing more forceful rhetoric when this same bird that soars with both a left and right wing, needs mending and authentic words of healing.
POTUS, a supposed ally of all peaceful protesters is only looking for another win, whatever he meant by that. What he did make clear in the Rose Garden was that he will protect 2A Rights, dominate the streets and deploy the military with 1000's of heavily armed soldiers in the name of the Rule of Law (with @TomCottonAR cheering on the sidelines to apply No Quarter if necessary). Stressing to never give in to anger and hatred which frankly, has always been his M.O. that a significant percentage of the American TV Audience has enjoyed watching despite the ironic efforts from FLOTUS to battle cyber bullying.
He then proceeds to pay his respects at a very special place. The same place where opportunists decided to torch St. John's Episcopal Church who seek to distract from the message(s) at hand which, like so many other victims of collateral damage is completely unacceptable. What a memorable setting in the Rose Garden, where the sound of sirens and explosions from flash bangs and tear gas where nearby Lafayette Park is cleared 20 minutes before curfew went into effect to pave the POTUS path while @ScottWalker praised POTUS to have the guts to walk out of the White House like that.

This same photo-op, where the Episcopal bishop of Washington DC had said she was "outraged" at the treatment of the peaceful crowd near the church, which Kellyanne Conway later defended by refocusing POTUS efforts to have just passed an Executive Order for religious freedom. More smoke and mirrors, only this time the smoke is real and very irritating.
Where is the condemnation of these remarks of disunity? What happened to the GOP Majority and the rest of Washington who swore to uphold the Constitution in the interest of all Americans who remain so hauntingly silent?

Why is it now commendable to take a knee to protest police brutality and injustices targeting black people and people of color when Colin Kaepernick was attacked for making this statement four years ago as a lack of patriotism and offensive to the military, etc?
May we find constructive ways to agree to disagree with leadership to encourage unity and (re)building together and truly address these problems with more people finally acknowledging them as our own and not turning away because it's NIMBY.
May we strive to find inspiration to fan the flames of change and right these horrible wrongs without the need to choke on the ashes of our neighbor's homes and businesses.
Supposedly we are all in this together. For once let our actions demonstrate this because at these critical crossroads, the words of such hope aren't even here.
P.S.
With his house of cards collapsing around him, POTUS continues to pat himself on his Twitter back: "D.C. had no problems last night. Many arrests. Great job done by all. Overwhelming force. Domination. Likewise, Minneapolis was great (thank you President Trump!)" @realDonaldTrump 06:19a/02Jun2020
