Price Hikes for Hollywood Bowl Tickets Approved

Prices for most seats will rise between 1 and 5 percent.

The Board of Supervisors Tuesday approved price hikes for the Hollywood Bowl's 2014 season.

Prices for most seats will rise 1-5 percent, which translates to $1 to $2 extra for bench seats and $3-$9 more for box seats.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, which operates the Bowl under a lease with the county, said the new pricing is "reasonable and competitive with other venues in Los Angeles County" and stressed that many low-cost seats remain available.
