Protiviti Workers Pack 30,000 Meals For Local Families

Global consulting firm Protiviti packed some 30,000 meals in Los Angeles last week and will continue toward 1 million fed goal.

In the spirit of giving season, global consulting firm Protiviti recently kicked off their “i on Hunger” campaign, a year-long, firm-wide initiative throughout 2015 where Protiviti will be partnering with various organizations to combat hunger in cities throughout the US and globally.

Protiviti’s employees and clients will be working with local organizations to pack meals in numerous locations, with the goal of reaching 1 million meals for the hungry.

Last week, Protiviti took on Los Angeles, California packing meals at their office in L.A.’s financial district. There, Protiviti partnered with an organization called Feeding Children Everywhere and packed more than 30,000 meals, which will be distributed to hungry children and families in the Downtown L.A. area.

Throughout the coming year, Protiviti plans to reach out to other cities in their fight against hunger. Along the way, Protiviti will be partnering with other organizations for the “i on Hunger” campaign, including Ronald McDonald House, Harvester’s Foodbank, City Harvest, Stop Hunger Now, Food Lifeline and Philabundance.

“Protiviti is always looking for ways to engage employees and give back to communities that need support,” said Tom McClune, managing director at Protiviti and head of the L.A. office.

“As we looked across Protiviti’s global footprint, we saw employees conducting food drives, hosting meal-packing events and partnering with non-profit organizations to deliver meals to the hungry.

“We realized that hunger is a global issue that our employees are passionate about, and that as an organization we could support and amplify their efforts.”
