Punker Glenn Danzig's Endlessly Memed Los Feliz Home Hits Market
WOW House: Misfits Singer Glenn Danzig is finally selling his vacant Los Feliz home that has been the source of fan pilgrimages for years.
LOS ANGELES, CA -- It may not look like much, but punk rocker Glenn Danzig's Los Feliz house has long captivated fans, even garnering its own Myspace Page and a crowdsourcing effort by fans to buy and preserve the home as a strange monument to the strange artist.
Seemingly abandoned year's ago, the home has taken on its own mythos, and it's the source of countless memes by a corner of the internet obsessed with mocking Danzig for his over-the-top interviews and public statements. The former Misfits' singer is selling the dilapidated home as-is for $1,197,095. Based on photos of the home, it apparently comes with a huge stack of bricks that have been sitting in the front yard for years and a box of Franken Berry cereal that has been sitting on the kitchen counter for just as long.
According to Curbed Los Angeles, Danzig bought the house in 1989, when he was in the band Danzig, and paid about $275,000. Built in 1907, the fixer-upper is selling for hundreds of thousands less than neighboring homes, according to Realtor.com
