Silver Lake Picture Show to Feature Princess Bride Sept. 5

The Silver Lake Picture Show will be showing Princess Bride on Sept. 5 as the last film in its summer series. The series, which takes place in the Sunset Triangle Plaza, has featured films like Wayne’s World and Empire Records so far this summer.

In addition to the movie, Echo Park-based band The Downtown Train will be performing from 7:30 to 8 p.m. with other local artists performing at 7 p.m. The movie will begin at 8 p.m.

While food and drink will not be sold at this event, participants are encouraged to bring their own seating and picnic in the outdoor area.

Sponsors of the event include the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council, Echo Park Film Center, Silver Lake Improvement association and Starlite Cinemas.
