Popular Outdoor Film Series Will Return to Silver Lake
Producer Nicholas Robbins says the "Silver Lake Picture Show"will again bring classic features and shorts by local filmmakers to the Sunset Triangle Plaza.

The highly-successful outdoor film series at Silver Lake's Sunset Triangle Plaza will return this summer.
Producer Nicholas Robbins confirmed in an email Thursday that the so-called "Silver Lake Picture Show" will again take place at the square near Maltman Avenue and Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake.
Robbins said the exact starting date will be announced soon, along with the theme for this year.

The inaugural series in 2012 featured films set in Los Angeles, and helped introduce the so-called Polka Dot Plaza to many locals.
The series will remain free, but Robbins also said expect some changes.

"We're working hard to bring a bigger, bolder, better Silver Lake Picture Show," he said. "We've got a number of initiatives in the works to increase our involvement in the Silver Lake and Eastside communities."
According to Robbins, the event will again pair a short film by a local with a classic feature.
Robbins urges everyone--especially local filmmakers--to keep an eye on the Silver Lake Picture Show's Facebook and Web site.
Info about how to submit films for consideration in a screening will be posted there in early May.
