Silver Lake's 'Delusion' Haunted Experience Forced to Close Early
'Delusion' was performing in an old Echo Park church before neighbors began to complain.

The popular haunted play "Delusion" was forced to shut the doors of its rented Echo Park church early this year following complaints from neighbors, LA Weekly reported.
The live action play, which converted the former Bethany Presbyterian Church into its theater, was considered one of Los Angeles' top haunted attractions, according to the show's website.
According to LA Weekly, play organizers were unable to renew their special event permit with the city after a neighbor across the street from the church continuously complained to the city about noise and traffic.
Delusion creator John Braver chalked up the neighbor's complaints to a "harassment campaign" and said the complaints were overstated.
