Sip & Bees Happy: Honey-Infused, Bee-Benefit Cocktail Kick-Off
Honey-themed cocktail to benefit the lives of bees is on tap for limited time at a hot-spot in Los Feliz.

LOS ANGELES, CA —In a bee-autiful collaboration to support the world's declining bee population, a Los Feliz-area establishment, along with Scotch-whisky purveyor Aberfeldy, is promoting a honey-inspired cocktail, with a portion of proceeds donated in actual bees to Bee Golden Honeys, a home-grown group devoted to bee-sustainability.
Coinciding with this month's National Bee Day on Aug. 17, the area locale, Big Bar at 1929 Hillhurst Ave., will donate 12 bees for every drink purchased and in the customers' names to Bee Golden Honeys, based in the L.A. area.
The specialty cocktail, dubbed "I Love You, Una Bear," is $14 and available throughout the summer. Key ingredients: Aberfeldy, raspberries, rosemary, honey and lemon.
