Families Stroll Into Summer at Mohawk Bend

Go ahead and take the stroller: trendy Mohawk Bend is serving up family lunch specials on Wednesdays this summer from noon to 4 p.m.

“The area we’re in, there’s a lot of families, especially younger families,” said Dana Robertson, general manager at Mohawk Bend and a mom herself.

“We figured it would be a good way for people to come in and enjoy a nice lunch with their friends and their kids.”

The special includes a lunch-sized pizza of choice, along with a mixed green salad and complementing beer, wine or glass of sangria for adults for $16.50.

As part of the special kids get a lunch-size pizza and a cookie. (Each additional kids lunch costs $7.)

The restaurant has plenty of space to park strollers, and the staff is family-friendly--not something you'd always expect at a place crawling with hipsters most nights. 

Whether you sit on the front patio or in the kid-friendly Ramona Room, Roberston said it’s sure to be a good time and also a good way to beat the heat.
