Super Bowl Sobriety Checkpoints Start Early
The LAPD wants everyone to drink responsibly and will have Saturation Patrols out to help as well as weekend checkpoints.
Super Bowl is excitement is building, even among the most casual of football fans.
It will start to peak Sunday around 3:30 p.m. when the Baltimore Ravens meet the San Francisco 49ers in New Orleans.
Beyonce's half-time appearance should also spike the interest level.

The LAPD is already reminding folks to manage their drinking, with their own helpful reminders.
DUI Saturation Patrols will be out in several parts of the city, including Hollywood from 7 p.m. Sunday to 3 a.m. Monday night.

There will also be a DUI checkpoint Saturday night on Hyperion Avenue in the heart of Silver Lake at Scotland Street from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.
The first will be Friday in the Valley at Roscoe and Coldwater Canyon. It will start at 8 p.m.
