Start off the day with these five things every Echo Park-Silver Lake Patch user needs to know today:
- August looks like a good month to check out Mohawk Bend, which is featuring a host of specials to commemorate its second year of existence.
- Speaking of Mohawk Bend and the Echo Park Historical Society, one of the items to check out is the Historic Ramona Pizza, which was unveiled at the beginning of the month and will be a featured part of the society's pizza fundraiser Tuesday night.
- There's a Tuesday evening campfire planned at Marsh Park (2960 Marsh St.), and plenty of classic campfire activities such as singing songs and roasting marshmallows. The event is free and is just one of several campfires taking place this week.
