The Park Restaurant Lives Up to Reputation
This casual neighborhood joint serves good food with a great atmosphere.

Tuesday I went to a meeting at The Park Restaurant of Echo Park. I didn't really know what to expect. I actually drove past it the first few times I tried to find it but it was worth the extra effort to find.
The food was fantastic. I ordered an avocado and gruyere sandwich with a side of potato salad. What seems like a simple meal was really surprisingly delicious. The sandwich had an olive spread that added just the tang needed.
The website advertises the restaurant as a "casual neighborhood bistro" with food that is "simple, tasty and moderately priced." The website doesn't lie.
The Park restaurant is open from Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Lunch and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for Brunch. Dinner hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 5:30 to 10 p.m. and Tuesday and Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. Reservations, which can be made online, are recommended for dinner.
