$1500 Rebate For Heat Pump Water Heaters
Does your home need a new water heater? Don't miss this program for Alameda and Contra Costa county homeowners.

EAST BAY — Getting a new water heater can be a big financial hit for homeowners. It's not something that is typically in the budget so you end up dipping into savings or you may even have to finance the purchase. But here is an alternative that will save you money now and possibly in the future.
The East Bay Energy Watch (EBEW) is offering rebates to install electric Heat Pump Water Heaters (HPWH) to replace gas storage water heaters in your home. This pilot program provides a rebate of $1500 for residents who replace their existing gas water heater with a 50 gallon minimum efficient Energy Star HPWH.
