The El Cerrito City Council is seeking applicants to serve on city advisory bodies. The City has 13 boards, commissions and committees and three regional bodies on which approximately 90 residents serve as members. There are over 35 existing vacancies with more vacancies scheduled as terms expire in March 2021. Upcoming vacancies include:

Members of Boards, Commissions and Committees provide an invaluable service to our community. Serving as an advisory body member can be a rewarding experience for residence wanting to serve their community. It is an excellent way to participate in local government and to make a personal contribution to the improvement to the El Cerrito community. Members are appointed by the City Council for terms of four years. Meetings are generally held once a month during evening hours.
If you are interested in serving on a Board, Commission or Committee, please visit www.el-cerrito.org/commissions to download an application, and submit to cityclerk@ci.el-cerrito.ca.us. The deadline to apply is Friday, 1/1/2021. Brief interviews are expected to be scheduled with the City Council late January/early February 2021.
