Armed Robberies on San Pablo, Lexington
Also, El Cerrito police said that an investigation into a possible case of elder abuse last week showed that the victim was injured in a fall and no criminal activity took place.

An El Cerrito Police Department spokesman said Tuesday that an investigation into a case of suspected elder abuse showed that the victim was injured in an accidental fall, with no criminal activity taking place.
ECPD Lt. Paul Keith told El Cerrito Patch Tuesday that the elderly woman "injured herself in a fall."
The initial report, published in the El Cerrito Police Log of March 21, said that "Alta Bates hospital in Berkeley notified the El Cerrito police department that an elderly resident arrived at the hospital with numerous bruises over her body."

The injured woman's daughter also contacted El Cerrito Patch to say that her mother was looking forward to returning to the assisted living facility where she resides.Â

Warrant Arrest - ECPDÂ
A 30 year-old man from El Cerrito turned himself in for an outstanding warrant. He was booked and cited.Â
Burglary - 900 block of Galvin Dr.Â
Between the hours of 0900-1100, unknown suspect(s) pried open a bedroom window to gain entry into the victim’s residence. A light ransack was conducted. Jewelry and electronics were stolen during the burglary.Â
Stolen Vehicle Recovery - 700 block of Liberty St.Â
An officer located the victim’s unoccupied stolen 1992 Honda Civic. The vehicle was reported stolen from Kensington on 3/18/13.Â
Robbery - 11400 block of San Pablo Ave.Â
An unknown suspect approached an employee of a business armed with a knife and demanded money. When the employee refused to hand over any money, the suspect grabbed money from the cash drawer that the employee was holding. The suspect fled the business on foot when confronted by other employees. The suspect was described as being an African American male, approximately 20-25 years old, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with dark jeans and shoes.Â
Resisting/Obstructing an Officer - 500 block of Lexington Ave.Â
Officers responded to a residence for a music disturbance. During the contact, the 46 year-old man slammed the door on the officers and ran to an upstairs window. While at the window the suspect yelled at officers that he had a gun. After several unsuccessful attempts to persuade the suspect to come to the door, officers cleared the scene. The following morning, a detective, who was conducting surveillance on the residence, noticed the same man exiting the house. The detective safely coordinated the arrest of the suspect with other officers. After booking, officers took the man to the Martinez Detention Facility.Â

Auto Burglary - 3300 block of Santa Clara Ave.Â
Unknown suspect(s) broke the lock of victim’s vehicle to gain entry and stole tools. Time of occurrence: 3/14/13-3/18/13.Â
Stolen Vehicle Recovery - S.56th Ave @ Madison Ave.Â
An officer located victim’s unoccupied Saturn, which was reported stolen from Richmond on 3/19/13.Â
Warrant Arrest - Norvell St/ Eureka Ave.Â
An officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 28 year-old man from Richmond for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.Â
Attempt Burglary - 1600 block of Lexington Ave.Â
Unknown suspect(s) attempted to pry open the front door of the victim’s house between 3/15/13 at 8:50am and 3/16/13 at 10:00am. The victim did not report the incident until a suspicious person knocked on their door on 3/20/13.Â

Armed Robbery - Lexington Ave @ Gladys AveÂ
Three suspects approached the victim as he was walking home, just after midnight. The victim noticed one of the males brandishing a firearm at him and the victim began to run. The suspects tackled the victim, assaulted him and stole his property. The victim described the suspects as young black males wearing black hooded sweatshirts with bandanas over their faces.Â
Warrant Arrest - 900 Block of Kearney St.Â
A 25 year-old man was contacted at his residence and was arrested for an outstanding warrant. After booking, the subject was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.Â
Shoplifting - 11450 San Pablo AvenueÂ
Store security detained a 16-year-old for stealing a bottle of alcohol. The juvenile was booked and released to their parent.Â
Burglary - 800 block of Everett StreetÂ
An unknown suspect forced entry into the residence via the front screen door and then removed property from the residence. Time of occurrence: 3/20 from 1700 hours to 3/21 at 1500 hours.Â
Attempt Burglary - 600 block of Sea View DriveÂ
An unknown suspect attempted to shatter the rear sliding glass door of the residence in an attempt to gain entry. The suspect was unable to make entry into the residence. Time of occurrence: 3/18, between the hours of 0830-1130.
