City Hosts Workshop on Less-Toxic Methods to Eliminate Household, Garden Pests
The workshop will offer information for how to deal with common household and garden pests utilizing methods that are safe for wildlife, people and the environment.

The City of El Cerrito is hosting a free community workshop on Less-Toxic Pest Management.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the El Cerrito City Hall (10890 San Pablo Ave.)
It's intended to provide practical information for how to deal with common household and garden pests utilizing methods that are safe for wildlife, people and the environment.Â

An expert panel presentation on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and the safest way to deter or treat common pest problems will be given. The panel presentation will be followed by a Q&A period and an opportunity to ask questions specific to your pest problems.Â
After the panel presentation, IPM, landscape, product and storm water specialists will be available to answer your questions about how to deter or get rid of common household pests like ants, rats, mice, bedbugs, termites, or garden pests like gophers, snails, slugs, aphids and weeds.

- Contra Costa Master Gardeners
- San Francisco Estuary Partnership

- City of El Cerrito Public Works & Environmental Services
The event is co-sponsored by the City of El Cerrito and the San Francisco Estuary Partnership with partial funding by the US EPA San Francisco BAY Water Quality Improvement Fund.
