EC Police: Sign Up for Community Warning System

The El Cerrito Police Department is urging local residents to sign up for the Contra Costa County Community Warning System (CWS), which alerts people in the county to imminent threats to their life and safety.

Depending on the emergency and affected area, a combination of notifications methods may be used, including: 

• Sirens 
• Telephone alerts 
• Text message and Email alerts 
• Facebook 
• Twitter 
• NOAA Weather Radios 
• Emergency Alert System 
• Wireless Emergency Alerts
