El Cerrito Arts & Culture Commission Welcomes the Work of Tana Hakanson

El Cerrito Arts & Culture Commission announces the new exhibit in the City Hall Gallery Space is 'Nature Introspective by Tana Hakanson.'

From the City of El Cerrito: The City of El Cerrito Arts & Culture Commission is pleased to announce the new exhibit in the City Hall Gallery Space is “Nature Introspective by Tana Hakanson.”

The show features 14 oil-on-canvas paintings by local artist Tana Hakanson and will be on display through May 26, 2017. The artist is hosting a reception, which is open to the public, on Saturday, April 29 from 5:30pm-7:00pm.

Additionally, the Commission is currently seeking proposals from local artist for two opportunities to show art work in the Gallery Space, both due by Friday, May 12, 2017:

Parks & Recreation Month: To celebrate Parks & Recreation month in July, artists are invited to submit one work related to the theme of parks, open space or recreation (play) for a special group show in July.

Continuous Recruitment for Exhibit Proposals: Artists are also invited to submit a proposal for show of their works. During 2017, exhibits with El Cerrito themes will be given special consideration to honor the City's Centennial.
