El Cerrito Concert to Benefit Japan Kumamoto Earthquake Victims

EL CERRITO, CA- An El Cerrito church will host benefit concert May 22, benefiting victims of the Japan Kumamoto earthquake on April 15.

The event, Pray for Kumamoto, will showcase music by by Yuka Yoshie on viola and Satoko Fogarty on piano at 1 p.m., May 22 at Sycamore Congregational Church, 1111 Navellier St.

Admission is free, however, donations are appreciated and proceeds will go to assist relief efforts in the Kumamoto region of Japan, which was hit by a 6.5 magnitude earthquake on April 14 and more than 1,000 aftershocks, including one of 7.3, in the subsequent two weeks.
