El Cerrito Death Notices

Gwendolyn Lou Fresquez, a resident of Richmond, worked as a veterinarian technician at El Cerrito Pet Hospital for 30 years. She also co-founded Von Schonheit Rottweilers and Paws and Tails Animal Rescue. Fresquez died on Sept. 7 at the age of 49.

Penny McCausland, a resident of Knightsen, graduated from El Cerrito High School in 1963. She founded Penelane Shelties, where she bred and raised Shetland Sheepdogs. McCausland died on Sept. 2 at the age of 67.
