Fire Near Point Pinole Regional Shoreline Park Burns 4.5 Acres
No one was injured, and no structures were damaged.

RICHMOND, CA — A small vegetation fire Sunday night burned about 4.5 acres near the Parchester Village neighborhood and the Point Pinole Regional Shoreline Park, and delayed passage of at least one Amtrak train on nearby tracks, the Richmond Fire Department said.
The fire was reported about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, said Battalion Chief Noah Brownlow.
A total of 37 firefighters fought the fire, which was completely out by about 9 p.m., Brownlow said. No one was injured, and no structures were damaged.

An Amtrak train from Oakland to Bakersfield was held for a while at Richmond while the fire was being battled near the tracks.
